Job Title: Director of Business Development
Location: Providence, RI
Salary: $120K-$150K + Commission
Benefits: Health Insurance + PTO + 401k with Match + Company Vehicle/Allowance
Requirements: Commercial Business Development, Sales Leadership, Disaster Restoration Industry or similar

We are an established disaster restoration company that services residential and commercial clients throughout Rhode Island and southern New England. We help property owners recover after damage from water, fire, mold and storm-related events. Position Overview
The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving the growth of the company through strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives. This role will focus on managing existing relationships with commercial accounts, leading and developing a small sales team, and cultivating new commercial accounts and business opportunities within the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with commercial accounts to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of success and accountability.
  • Analyze market trends and competition to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in business development, with a focus on disaster restoration or related fields.
  • Experience with insurance-related services and the claims process is a plus.
  • Having a book of business of commercial accounts is highly desirable. 
  • Proven track record of successful new business development and relationship management.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic business decisions.
