Job Description

A private household in Austin is seeking an experienced nanny to provide structured, high-quality care for one primary child, with occasional coverage support for a toddler. You will be a key member of a coordinated caregiving team, integrating seamlessly into established routines and maintaining continuity across shift transitions.

This is a high-commitment rotational role suited to an experienced nanny who thrives in structured, extended-care environments.

SCHEDULE

3 weeks on / 1 week off Shift length: 6–12+ hours per day during on-weeks Flexibility required — schedule changes may occur with short notice

Note: We're looking for candidates who have genuinely thrived in similar arrangements, not simply those open to trying.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the primary child throughout extended shifts

● Maintain consistent daily routines including meals, hygiene, rest, and structured activities

● Step in for toddler care as needed to ensure seamless household coverage

● Plan and lead enrichment activities aligned with each child's developmental stage

● Keep shared spaces safe, clean, and organized at all times

● Collaborate closely with other nannies and household staff for smooth handoffs and continuity

● Adapt to evolving schedules with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Requirements

● Proven long-term nanny experience, ideally in rotational or high-demand household settings

● Demonstrated ability to manage extended shifts (6–12+ hours) with professionalism and composure

● Highly organized and proactive — able to anticipate needs without being prompted

● Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of household privacy

● Strong communicator who works well within a team-based care structure

● Comfortable living on-site during on-weeks (live-in preferred; local candidates also considered)

This is a long-term position. We're investing in someone who wants to grow with the family. The right candidate will find a stable, professionally managed household with a team that values them.
