Title : Health and Wellness Educator
Job Status : Beginning in the 2026-27 academic year, Full-time, Exempt, 10-month
Salary Range : $62,758 to $104,952 annually based on degree and experience

Job Summary :
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health and Wellness Educator to join our counseling team. This role involves teaching a comprehensive health education program for 7th-grade students with opportunities to support health education at other grade levels. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and social health issues facing adolescents and is skilled in delivering engaging and age-appropriate instruction.
Essential Responsibilities :
Develop and implement a health and wellness curriculum for 7th grade and at other grade levels, including human development and reproductive education.
Stay current with the latest research and best practices in adolescent health education and integrate this knowledge into the curriculum. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that respects student diversity and promotes healthy lifestyles. Collaborate with school counselors and administrators to support student health and well-being. Participate in counseling department meetings and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Counseling, Public Health, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of two years of teaching or counseling experience. Strong knowledge of adolescent health, wellness, and overall development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans and educational materials. Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements :
Ability to see and hear within normal parameters with or without correction.
Full range of head, neck, and back movement; unrestricted ability to bend knees, raise arms above the head, and to move hands, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds without difficulty. Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for sustained periods of time. Must successfully pass fingerprint background check and provide TB clearance due to working in proximity to children.
