Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team. The role involves fitting large pipes, specifically 8 inches and up, performing saddle cuts, using a cutting torch, tape measure, beveler, and tack welding. You will also be required to read blueprints to ensure precise assembly and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Fit large pipes, 8 inches and up.
  • Perform saddle cuts using a cutting torch.
  • Utilize tape measures and bevelers for precise measurements.
  • Conduct tack welding as part of pipe assembly.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints for accurate installation.
Essential Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience as a pipe fitter in a manufacturing company.
  • Proficiency in tack welding and saddle cut/fish mouth techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in pipe beveling.
  • Capability to pass a written pipe fitter test.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Possession of a blue book is required.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing shop that is non-climate controlled, offering a robust and practical environment for skilled pipe fitting professionals. Day or night shifts are available, starting at 5 AM or PM.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX 77051.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $33.00/hr.
