Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated 1st shift painter. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of quality in our production areas. The successful candidate will have experience with a gravity-fed paint gun and be responsible for applying main coats and finishes, conducting quality checks, and maintaining equipment.

• Operate a gravity-fed paint gun for applying main coats and finishes.
• Read orders accurately and pull necessary parts.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on painted items.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Concentrate and pay close attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.

• Experience in industrial painting and powder coating.
• Proficiency in paint preparation, coating, and spraying techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to rack and organize parts efficiently.

• At least 1 year of painter experience.
• Experience in maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Work hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime during busy projects or deadlines. Employees are required to use personal protective equipment, such as a respirator and Tyvek suit. The facility is newer and operates in a factory environment that is not temperature controlled.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.00/hr.
