Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer - Hybrid

Job Description:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will support testing activities across complex and multiple software solutions by creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure applications meet quality, performance, and readiness standards. You will collaborate closely with development and business teams, identify risks early in the lifecycle, and contribute to continuous improvement of quality assurance processes within an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Execute manual and automated tests and document test results and defects.
• Track, prioritize, and support resolution of defects with development teams.
• Participate in peer reviews and update test assets based on feedback.
• Provide input on testing risks, release readiness, and implementation timelines.
• Analyze requirements and identify gaps or risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Support performance testing, batch processing, and production validation activities.
• Maintain test repositories and map test cases to requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards and practices.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• 3 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and defect tracking.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Experience testing web-based applications and complex enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases and ability to validate data using SQL.
• Familiarity with CI tools, test management, and defect tracking systems.
• Exposure to Windows, Linux, or Unix environments and batch processing concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively in a team environment.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
